Janos Starker, long called the "King of the Cellists," has built one of the great musical careers of the second half of the 20th century. Both as concert artist and as master teacher, Starker is revered internationally, and has spent a lifetime campaigning on behalf of the cello and its repertoire.

Saturday afternoon,May 13, 2006 the 13th Nexus Lecture was given by Janos Starker. He delivered a lecture on 'What is a masterpiece?’.
