Robin Holloway
(England 1943)

 

began to compose while a chorister at St. Paul's Cathedral, from 1952 to 1957. He studied English and music at King's College, Cambridge, and studied composition privately with Alexander Goehr from 1959 to 1963. In 1974, he was appointed assistant lecturer in the music faculty at Cambridge and full lecturer in 1980.
