is a journalist and writer. For many years, he taught cultural history at the Academy of Journalism in Tilburg. Among other things, Bodelier published two guides to the cemetaries of Père-Lachaise in Paris (1996) and the Zentralfriedhof in Vienna (2000), the collected essays Ordeverstoringen (1992), on art, literature and music at Auschwitz and Bomen hebben wortels, mensen hebben benen (2004), a journalist account of globalisation. Recently, he wrote Tegen de angst (2005), a plea for optimism in the 21st century.
