Speaker and/or author:

Peter D. Kramer
(USA 1948)

was recently described by the New York Times as 'America's most well-known psychiatrist', a status that in no small part is attributable to his bestseller: Listening to Prozac (1993), in which Kramer describes his experiences as a psychiatrist with the anti-depressive, and tries to establish the possibilities and consequences of changing ‘oneself’ with the assistance of pharmaceuticals. Peter Kramer is Professor of Psychiatry at Brown University and also has his own practice. In addition to his book about Prozac, Kramer has written other books that include Moments of Engagement and the novel Spectacular Happiness.
