has studied contemporary history at the universities of Trieste, Venice and Trento. Her published work deals with, amongst other topics, the history of ideas at the end of the nineteenth century, with emphasis on the relationship between Italy and France. More specifically with the magazines and intellectuals of fascism, Italian catholic culture in the twentieth century, and the history of the publishing house Einaudi between the 1930’s and the 1960’s. She has contributed to a collection of texts by Cesare Lombroso and she has been responsible for the writings of Delio Cantimori about the politics and culture of the 1930’s. Mangoni published the collected writings of Leone Ginzburg under the title Leone Ginzburg. Scritti (Turin, 2000, Einaudi editores), for which she wrote the foreword.
