He became famous with his monumental biography on Dostoevski. The fifth and last part of this masterpiece - not only a biography, but also a brilliant history of culture - was published recently as: Dostoevsky, The Mantle of the Prophet, 1871 - 1881. For each book in this series Frank received several awards and prizes.
