is head of the policy planning staff at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in France, and advisor to the Foreign Minister of France, posts he also held from 1995- 1999. Before assuming this post again in 2002, Mr. Andréani served as a Senior Auditor in the Court of Auditors in 2000. Previously Mr. Andréani’s public service included appointments to the North Atlantic Council as Deputy Permanent Representative from 1993-1995; as Director for Disarmament, Political Affairs Directorate in the Foreign Ministry from 1989-1993; and as Deputy Head of the Strategic Affairs Department in the Ministry of Defense from 1988-1989. He is a graduate of the Paris Institute of Political Studies, holds a M.A. in Law and History and is a graduate of the École Nationale d'Administration . In 2000 he was a Visiting Fellow at the London School of Economics and a Senior Fellow at the International Institute of Strategic Studies in London.
