Frank Furedi is Professor of Sociology at the University of Kent. He regularly appears as a commentator in the international press and on radio and tv. Furedi's best-known work is Where Have All the Intellectuals Gone? Confronting Twenty-First Century's Philistinism (second edition 2006). He also wrotes such works as Therapy Culture (2003) and Politics of Fear (2005). His most recent book is Wasted: Why Education Isn't Educating (2009).
