![]() was the Dean of the prestigious Yale Law School for ten years, and still teaches there. Kronman, who studied Philosphy and Law at Yale, is known as a brilliant jurist and an exemplary teacher. His book Education's End: Why Our Colleges and Universities Have Given Up on the Meaning of Life (2007) was the subject of the Nexus Masterclass he taught in November 2009. In it, he asks for renewed attention for the 'big questions' in the Humanities, and for a corresponding revaluation of the philosophical and literary tradition. He puts these convictions into practice as a teacher of the Yale 'Great Books Program', which has students read and study the important literary and philosophical works of past and present.
